US Canoe Races Coming in August

Riverside Manor Bed and Breakfast is on the 50 yard line for all the major events over this weekend in Marinette, WI! On the 2nd of July is an outdoor movie shown on Stephenson Island- just a short walk across the footbridge from the inn. On July 3rd the festivities continue with the annual parade! The parade route goes directly past Riverside Manor- just step outside and relax in the outdoor furniture and enjoy! In the afternoon there will be a concert and other activities on Stephenson Island. At dusk, the grand finally- fireworks! Just take your favorite chair and move it into position and enjoy right outside the front door of Riverside Manor Bed and Breakfast!

Art in the Park

Come join us for a Day in the Park viewing over 40 artist’s wares. Artists come from all over the Midwest with a high amount being very talented local people. There will be ‘tradional’ art in the form of paintings and drawings as well as wearable art, jewlery and sculpture to name just a few of the delights you will find. This event is coming up June 27, 2010!

Gardens

For those of you that have been watching….. this last weekend was spent putting in the first of many large gardens in the front of Riverside Manor. We have also updated our signage area and will soon be adding the outside seating area where you will be able to sit outside, enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine while you listen to the summer concerts or just watch the water flow by.

While Riverside Manor does not allow pets, we can make arrangements for your pet to stay inn-style at a local boarding facility. We can also make arrangments for you to board your horse at a nearby stable. While you are enjoying the sights of the area, your animals will enjoy the best of care.

Spring has come to the Northwoods! For those of you that love to watch the birds, we already have several species of egrets and ducks nesting along the Menominee River this season. The Peshtigo River Trail offers the oppurtunity to view Osprey, King Fishers, Phoebe among many other birds. the Hemlock Curve Nature Trail offers more chances for viewing other birds. And don’t forget to take in the National Wildlife Refuge along the shore of Lake Michigan.
